Black Walnut Combo has been formulated with a view to its specific anti-infective properties. The ingredients in this formula – black walnut, paracress, usnea, Oregon grape, fennel, white atractylodes, and licorice – have hundreds of years of traditional use behind them. Modern clinical and laboratory work confirms that they effectively address the following conditions:

The herbs in this formula work together in a well-matched synergy, each with its complementary and reinforcing strengths. The lead ingredient, Black Walnut, is a particularly strong antiparasitic and antifungal agent. Paracress shares a similar potency. The marked antibiotic aspects of usnea are allied with important immunostimulatory qualities. With its significantly antimicrobial and alterative properties, Oregon grape works especially well against parasitic forms of diarrhea. Both fennel and white atractylodes have a therapeutic dimension that is immensely beneficial in dealing with the gastrointestinal weaknesses that arise from parasitic infections. Orchestrating all these herbs is licorice—the great tonic harmonizer and detoxifier.

Administration: 20-75 drops (0.7-2.5 ml) three to four times daily, in a mouthful of water, on an empty stomach
Contra-indications and Cautions:
Do not take when pregnant or nursing. Duration of use not to exceed two weeks. Do not take this product if tinnitus (ringing in the ears) is present. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have been diagnosed with a health condition or if you are taking prescription medications. Do not use if you are sensitive to plants of the Umbelliferae family (e.g. celery, carrot).

A NOTE ON TINCTURES
Tinctures are more readily absorbed by the body and have a high degree of bio-availability. As well, they have a long shelf life.
Sometimes people ask us why tinctures are alcohol-based. There are very good reasons. Alcohol is critically important in the extraction of an herb's medicinal ingredients. It also helps to stabilize and preserve them. Alcohol is the ideal carrier substance, conveying the therapeutic goodness of the herb to the body. In itself, too, science has proven that alcohol enhances the immune system and its defences.
As for the amount of alcohol taken in an average dose of tincture, you'll be surprised to learn that it's about the same as what you'd find in an overly ripe banana!
